CFR Files Appeal Against California

On, June 3, Citizens for Fair Representation (CFR) and other plaintiffs seeking constitutionality adequate political representation in the California State Legislature filed their opening brief with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in CFR v. California Secretary of State Alex Padilla.

The case was originally brought before, Judge Kimberly J. Mueller of the federal district court for the Eastern District of California, in Sacramento. Judge Mueller ruled CFR and the other plaintiffs had no “standing” to bring the suit.

CFR's legal team is composed of Alex Kozinski, Scott Stafne, and Gary Zerman. A copy of the brief filed with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals can be accessed on this page.
